A full day of free workshops at the Mingei International Museum of Folk Art in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.

Sitoë Thiam will lead an introduction to macrame, the art of knotting. Students will learn how to tie a few beginner friendly knots, then learn some strategies to compose them and create their own small works of art.

This workshop is inspired by the traditional fishing nets and nautical knots featured in To Catch a Fish.
