Knot Together:
A Workshop Series at the
Mingei International Museum
Inspired by the traditional fishing nets and nautical knots featured in To Catch a Fish, our newest Together workshop series, Knot Together, explores the art of macramé. The series is led by Sitoë Thiam, a fiber artist and mechanical engineer who bridges technical precision with organic expression. As the founder of Unknot, a design studio specializing in knotting and weaving, she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to the world of fiber arts.
Sitoë also led Make at Mingei with a beginner-friendly macramé tapestry workshop. Here’s a preview of that day’s fiber art explorations!
